WD Silicone, located in Wuhan, Hubei Province, China, is based on the former Wuhan University Chemical Plant which was founded in 1958. It\'s main business scope is researching, developing, producing and marketing silicone-based new materials and offering technical service and technical transfer worldwide.

WD Silicone’s transformation into an incorporation in October 2000 reflects another milestone in the company\'s development. The original 2000 m?lot has given way to a 30 thousand m?lot in Hubei Gedian Economic & Technology Development Zone near Wuhan city.
Now it has three subsidiaries in Hubei province - the largest chemical industrial base in China, they have got our National Silicone R&D Center’s license to produce silicone related products and offer technical service.Our production capacity can meet with 2000 MT p.a. start from 2002.

In April 2001, when the Corporation was approved by the State Ministry of Education to organize a research center of organosilicon compound and material engineering, the center from then on has been operated together with the Corporation as a whole. So as to make the scientific research strength more powerful, the research center is always going ahead in technology for the organosilicon compounds and materials in China. The Corporation had planned to make the research center one of the highest bases for researching and exploring silicone in the world.
